The Spirit of the MACY Awards recognizes and awards excellence in high school musical theater. Selected schools perform a segment from their show along with presentations of student and school awards and trophies.
An exciting culmination of the show is the announcement of the best actor & actress who will then go on to compete in the "Jimmies" A National Award for High School Musical Theater.
